Injury on Duty Reviews – Final update.

Members affected by the Home Office Order 46/2004 will be pleased to know that your Staffs NARPO ’Action Team’ in liaison with Staffs Police Federation, have at last completed protracted negotiations with Staffs Police. On 1st March 2008, a settlement agreement was signed by all parties.
The new policy came into effect from 1st January 2008. Officers over the age of State Retirement age on that date will not now be affected. Staffs NARPO have achieved an exceptionally favourable outcome for all members when they reach State Retirement age.
Those members concerned should by now have received a letter or e-mail from Branch Chairman Gerry Robinson, if they are ‘registered’ with him. Staffs Police will write a personal letter to all affected members well before 1st April 2008.

Recently David (Jock) Bell, a member from the Tamworth Branch was presented with the St. John’s Ambulance long service medal and bar
